Doctor of Physical Therapy, almost always called DPT, is a five-year first-professional degree in physiotherapy. It is one of the most sought-after health-science programmes in Pakistan after MBBS and BDS, and admission is usually on the basis of FSc Pre-Medical marks and an entry test.

What you study
The programme covers anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise therapy, electrotherapy and clinical rehabilitation, with supervised clinical rotations in the later years.
After the degree
Graduates work in hospital rehabilitation departments, orthopaedic and neurology units, sports facilities and private practice. Registration with the relevant regulatory body is required before practising.
